Vertu is a British-based manufacturer and retailer of luxury handmade mobile phones, established by Finnish mobile-phone

manufacturer Nokia.


Imagine designing and creating branded collateral for a luxury cell phone that had a price range of $10,000 to $25,000 – that’s a true high-end, upscale market. And certainly one that is not easily captured or sold.


My team was one of three firms that collaborated solely with the US and the British design office of Nokia to launch this brand. We were involved in designing and integrating the print collateral materials for the luxury packaging system, setting up brand guidelines for typography and color systems that would be created and executed in 5 languages. Also we helped them develop their advertising campaign for an international media product launch in 7 countries, all of which had mission critical deadlines. We were also instrumental

in setting up execution and production systems to produce projects that saved the client time and money.


I acted as account manager and creative director on all aspects of projects for this client. The relationship was so positive, I was offered a creative director position with Nokia USA. I told them I wasn’t Finnish yet with my business.
