Southern California Graphics is a large family run commercial printer in Los Angeles.

 

SCG was faced with competition from the bigger players in Southern California, and needed a brand refresh after 30 years in business. I used this company to print many projects and annual reports, and had established a great rapport with the owners.

Who better to tell their story than a very happy and satisfied customer? They hired me to brand them and tell their story as one of California’s leading printer and marketing solutions firms. The brand solution, “Services without Boundaries” was designed to expand their customer base and featured colorful diverse SoCal lifestyle and culture images.

 

We created the identity, stationary, promotional mailers, service cards, press kit folders, printer proof folders, CD cases, and branded content that was woven into the website as well. All printed materials featured the skilled printing capabilities of SCG using a variety of printing techniques: B&W, 4-color, spot pantone colors, spot UV, special varnishes and coatings. The sales marketing brochure, “The big book” as we came to refer to it, won the Sappi Paper’s award for best self-promotional piece—and also won many more clients for Southern California Graphics.
